Team Indonesia’s Preparation In his speech, Prof. Suyanto Ph.D hopes that team Indonesia can give the best for the country. “You all represent Indonesia, representing 5 million Indonesian students. Hopefully we can defend our overall champion on home soil.” He added. He suggested the team to be more confident in presenting their research. Their presentation has to be better than when they were selected from 100 researches last year. Moreover, they have been mentored by lecturers from various universities in Indonesia. “If we become champions, you all have to research more. Don’t be apathies, always be creative and innovative. All of that have to be encouraged, because it is the key to be a strong country” He emphasized. The participants of this event are the chosen ones; their existence has to be socialized. They generally have the chance and curiosity, they are brilliant. “Just look at the title of their researches. I hope they will win and motivate other Indonesian students to research more. Before representing Indonesia in ICYS, team Indonesia have joined selection and mentoring processes done by the High School Directory of National Education Department. First round of selection was held on 15-19 January, the second round on 19-22 February and the third round, which is the special mentoring for the 12 Indonesian delegates that passed the early selections, on 27-29 March 2010.| < Prev | Next > |
